Short version: iLoveMarked is a browser-only tool. We use Google Analytics to count page visits anonymously. Your text and drafts never leave your device.
1. Who We Are
iLoveMarked is a free, open-source web utility that converts Markdown text to Unicode-styled text compatible with LinkedIn posts. It is published at ilovemarked.online and its source code is available under the MIT license.
2. What We Do and Do Not Collect
Because iLoveMarked runs entirely in your browser with no server backend, we cannot and do not collect:
- —Your name, email address, or any personal identifier.
- —The text you type or the posts you create.
- —Session recordings or click-level interaction data.
We do use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-L9Z4CM69JG) to collect anonymous aggregate metrics such as page views and country-level traffic. This data cannot be traced back to an individual and does not include any content you type. Google may set _ga cookies for this purpose. You can opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on.
3. Data Stored on Your Device
iLoveMarked stores three items in your browser's localStorage. This data is never transmitted anywhere:
Your saved post drafts — up to 50 entries stored as JSON. You can clear these at any time via the "Clear All" button in the History panel.
Your display preference: "dark" or "light". Defaults to dark mode.
A flag set after you dismiss the welcome toast, so the first-visit demo only appears once.
4. Third-Party CDN Providers
Your browser fetches static files from these CDNs when you load the app. The CDN providers may log your IP address per their own privacy policies:

We are not responsible for data processing by these providers.
5. LinkedIn — Third-Party Platform
iLoveMarked produces text for pasting into LinkedIn. Once you paste and publish content on LinkedIn, that content is subject to LinkedIn's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We have no relationship with or control over LinkedIn (operated by Microsoft Corporation).
6. Your Rights
Since we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or correct on your behalf. To remove all data iLoveMarked has stored, open your browser's Developer Tools → Application → Local Storage → clear the site's entries.
7. Children
iLoveMarked is a general-purpose productivity tool. We do not knowingly process data from children under 13. As we process no personal data at all, this requirement is inherently satisfied.
8. Changes
If we change how we handle data (e.g., by adding server features), we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
